What is PDR?
PDR, or Paintless Dent Repair is the process of repairing small dings and dents (including those caused by hail damage) by manipulating automotive body panels with specialized tools and equipment, without damaging the vehicle’s paint finish. Why is PDR better than other conventional body repair methods?
Conventional body repair methods involve grinding the existing paint from the vehicle, using fillers such as “bondo” to fill the damaged areas, and respraying the panels. This process can take anywhere from 1-4 weeks to perform! Because PDR doesn’t do any of these things, the original finish remains intact. No problem with mismatched paint! It also can be accomplished in one to three days.
Do I have to choose the auto hail repair shop my insurance company suggests?
No, you can select which body shop you want to use.
